In the final weeks of the president campaign, we are noticing that Sarah Palin, "the fatal cancer to the Republican Party: David Brooks" and Cindy McCain, the beer heiress and adulterer, are sharpening their attacks against Barack Obama. This is a trap. Join me below:
Given the direction of the McCain campaign since last weekend, it's no surprise that the words are getting sharper. The crowds are getting angrier. And Obama is being painted as the great satan, friend of the terrorist. But it's not about that. Look at the messenger of the most recent hate-speak. It's two white women attacking the African American male. This is a huge trap. Obama knows what this is all about. Attacking the white man's princess would only take Obama in the gutter with the McCain campaign and lose the election. Some whites have their limits about what they will accept from Obama. Attacking white women no matter how justified would be political suicide. McCain can only hope that Obama takes the bait.
McCain is from a time, era and family in Mississippi that long held that African Americans were less than, not worthy to be in the same room, let alone on the same stage. Everyone is playing down the "that one" comment from the debate the other night. That kind of isolating description of a fellow senator wasn't a mistake. It is clear John McCain has no respect for Obama...not because of where he is in the polls, but because Obama has not taken the bait so far and McCain thinks that Obama is beneath him.
Funny how Palin knew nothing about nation politics a month ago. Now she is happily the mouth piece of not only the extreme factions of the GOP, but of America. Funny how Cindy McCain didn't want the NYT to mention her son's service in Iraq. But now it's OK to mention him because it's to her political advantage to. But she doesn't tell you - MSM hasn't either- is that John McCain also voted against a troop funding bill in 2007.
All of the faux outrage and race baiting indicate the desparation and darkness of McCain's soul. They are trying to get a rise out of Obama.
It's up to John McCain to bring it home during the final debate.
We know that Obama will have a knock out retort that will leave McCain wondering what happened.
Take the poll.
