I'm a little more than confused at the Republican guilt-by-association attack on Obama concerning Ayers. Guilt-by-association attacks are fundamentally flawed, but even more flawed when the person being used is not guilty, at least not guilty of what they are being accused of.
What I want to know is this: is the University of Illinois at Chicago a terrorist organization?
Let's say we concede that Bill Ayers was, is and will always be a terrorist, just for the sake of argument.
Would that mean that the University of Illinois at Chicago is a supporter of terrorism?
Bill Ayers is right now a professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, holding the title of Distinguished Professor.
If Bill Ayers wants to kill Americans why the hell is the University of Illinois employing him to teach our young people?
What do terrorists teach? Terrorism, of course.
So, if Bill Ayers is an evil terrorist then the University of Illinois at Chicago is obviously supporting terrorism and training terrorists to kill Americans, according to Republican logic.
I just think it's insanely ridiculous that I'm hearing Ayers' name on the tv. Journalists should be ashamed for participating in the defamation of a dedicated American citizen who is obviously reformed from his past actions.
If Ayers was still a terrorist then the University of Illinois is a terrorist organization.
Do you see where I'm going with this?
