File under: "You know that you are in big trouble when Rasmussen and the Boston Herald start to say that not only are you losing - but losing badly."
In today's Herald Rasmussen says:
Obama is clearly the favorite. His lead has been amazingly steady.
The fact that this right leaning pollster would say such things to one of the most conservative daily's in the northeast is further evidence that more of the Republican establishment are lining up like rats, ready to scurry from the deck of the SS GOP.
Hidden behind the bigger stories of the continued implosion of the stock market, and the release of the Trooper-gate report is this little gem.
In today's Boston Herald, Rasmussen, the pollster often criticized as being biased in favor of the GOP and Republican candidates, is quoted in an interview with Dave Wedge as saying that Obama is the clear front runner, and that McCain will most likely lose unless some outside event intervenes.
I won't bore you with a long winded description of a relatively short article. But here is one quote:
The race changed with the economic meltdown, Rasmussen said. It changed from being about Obama and McCain to being a referendum on the Bush administration, which is bad for Republicans everywhere.
You can read the original story here.
I love watching all of these establishment GOP types as they start to distance themselves with McCain/Palin and the soon to be ending Reagan Revolution.
