Columbus Endorses Obama
The ghost of Christopher Columbus was channeled last night at a seance held near Boulder, Colorado. Angelica Dushane, a well known Native American holy woman, presided over the ceremony. She was dressed in beautiful red vestments, reportedly acquired from the first priest who ever attempted to convert a member of the Mountain Ute tribe.
At first many of those present were uncertain as to which spirit was speaking, that of the priest or Columbus himself. However it was discerned by a CU professor that the words were Italian and not Spanish, so there was little doubt that Cristoforo Colombo was in the house. While a few listeners thought they heard the words “Oh mama!” others were sure that they clearly heard “Obama!” After considering all options to decide the question, a vote was held. The only McCain supporter in Boulder County was the sole holdout for “Oh mama,” and “Obama” carried the day.
Columbus has spoken.
I'm very happy to be joining in the conversation here, and thought putting a smile on everyone's face would be a good way to say hello. I am one of the two Obama voters in Montezuma County, Colorado, down at the four corners. I've been hoping to meet the other one for a while now, but haven't been able to track them down. In other exciting news, winter came early this year, it was pretty dang cold last night.
