Long interview with David Frum (fmr. Bush speech writer, American Enterprise Institute) tonight, where he tried to scold Rachel on undermining serious political conversation of all things. She politely gave him the floor before taking him to it.
He was standing by via satellite while Maddow discussed how Paul Wolfowitz of all people should not be laying the policy groundwork for a new cold war with China. By the time he was called to interview, bringing with him all the cheer of a hospice visit, he had had enough!
Frum accused Rachel of having a "simbiotic relationship of negativity" with Wolfowitz, claiming the usual moral equivalency rhetoric that the Republicans use every time rational minds call them out on their amoral behavior.
Check out the segment if you get a chance. Maddow has brought the greatest deliberative voice to this political season, and I sincerely hope that her interviews get the attention of both her fans and detractors. It's hard to deny an honest face.
