Well, the only thing to be proud of in the KET's "debate" for Kentucky's First Congressional District was the performance of Heather Ryan. Of course, cowardly elitist Exxon Ed Whitfield joined his fellow disgraceful Kentucky Republican Mitch McConnell in snubbing his nose at Kentucky's voters by not showing up in such trying times to debate the issues with his opponent.
If that would have been the only disgraceful thing about this debate, it would have been bad enough. However, there were plenty of disgraceful happenings in Kentucky last night.
It seems like just before Heather Ryan began to answer questions on the stage, by herself of course, the audio of her Q&A session with reporters "malfunctioned". Then after Heather stood her ground and answered real questions by reporters, elitist Exxon Ed Whitfield got to play his little propoganda piece infomercial, because he is too cowardly to discuss his voting record.
KET stated that they had to, by law show Elitist Exxon Eddie's propoganda film, but as pointed out by Shawn Dixon on bluegrassroots, this was merely a lie to cover for Elitist Exxon Ed Whitfield. As also pointed out by Mr. Dixon, KET owes Heather equal time under the law. I am not holding my breath.
Heather held a press conference before the debate to discuss the developments of the last couple of days:
Then, in the only bright spot of the night, Heather proceeded to shine under questioning, and showed exactly why Elitist Exxon Ed Whitfield was too cowardly to show, he would've been creamed by this fiery red-head!!:

As for Exxon Eddie's claims in his propoganda piece:
- Kentucky has lost 1,000 manufaturing jobs a year as pointed out by Heather.
- As for his record on Healthcare, I have been to one of the Community Centers Whitfield speaks of, and had to wait 7 hrs. to get seen by a doctor because I couldn't produce an insurance card while other patients with Insurance cards were shuttled in front of me, despite not being there as long. I invite everyone to look at Elitist Exxon Ed Whitfield's real record on Healthcare here:
http://www.ontheissues.org/...
This sums it up nicely:
Whitfield scores 12% by APHA on health issues
The American Public Health Association (APHA) is the oldest and largest organization of public health professionals in the world, representing more than 50,000 members from over 50 occupations of public health. APHA is concerned with a broad set of issues affecting personal and environmental health, including federal and state funding for health programs, pollution control, programs and policies related to chronic and infectious diseases, a smoke-free society, and professional education in public health.
The following ratings are based on the votes the organization considered most important; the numbers reflect the percentage of time the representative voted the organization's preferred position.
- Finally, Whitfield working for Renewables?? Give me a break!!! The real record is here:

Again, this sums it up nicely:
Voted NO on tax incentives for energy production and conservation.

It is easy to see why Elitist Exxon Ed Whitfield was a coward when it came to debating. That is because he is a liar too, and knew it would be exposed.
Please help Heather with the resources to get her message out with her radio and T.V. ads. Lets not let cowardly, lying Elitist Exxon Ed Whitfield run from his record yet again!!!:
