With Keith and his Special Comment, Chris Matthews looks to have been passed over this evening.
Hardball on October 14th was must-see television. Especially when he said this:
The comparison between Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin is like the comparison between an igloo and the Empire State building.
Video link.
But that wasn't even the best part! Christopher Buckley renewed my faith in humanity.
Another video link, better than the first.
(UPDATE: Mad grats to norahschronicles for the new pic.)
I can't find a transcript, and my memory is fuzzy from the first week of hockey season, but I can promise you one thing.
You will LOVE those videos. Chris Matthews cannot believe that any serious political thinker can say Sarah Palin is qualified for the VP job with a straight face, and he is holding feet to the fire.
Chris Matthews is insulted by Sarah Palin going on Rush Limbaugh's show and saying she has "nothing to lose". He is insulted.
And, as I said before, Christopher Buckley was simply amazing. It was mad satisfying to hear such things from such a serious source. Chris Matthews has the sense of history that matched the family name of the man he interviewed. It was magnificent tape.
I hope Christopher Buckley's lost job at the National Review gets massive media coverage, and I hope he does more interviews.
Almost as much as I hope you will join me in applauding Tweety on this glorious Tuesday night. He deserves it.
