COINCIDENCE? I think NOT!
In the affairs of this world, men are saved not by faith, but by the want of it.

FROM THE CHURCH OF INEFFABLE STUPIDITY:
a) Sarah Palin, Anti-American Secessionist
To date, ONLY CNN has bothered to cover the close ties between the AIP and Palin. AIP has long advocated leaving the United States. IN fact, the leaders of the AIP got Sarah Palin involved in politics.
So long as Alaska remained under the boot of the federal government, said Chryson, the AIP had to stand on guard to stymie a New World Order. He invited a Salon reporter to see a few items inside his pickup truck that were intended for his personal protection. "This here is my attack dog," he said with a chuckle, handing the reporter an exuberant 8-pound papillon from his passenger seat. "Her name is Suzy." Then he pulled a 9-millimeter Makarov PM pistol -- once the standard-issue sidearm for Soviet cops -- out of his glove compartment. "I've got enough weaponry to raise a small army in my basement," he said, clutching the gun in his palm. "Then again, so do most Alaskans." But Chryson added a message of reassurance to residents of that faraway place some Alaskans call "the 48." "We want to go our separate ways," he said, "but we are not going to kill you."
Though Chryson belongs to a fringe political party, one that advocates the secession of Alaska from the Union, and that organizes with other like-minded secessionist movements from Canada to the Deep South, he is not without peculiar influence in state politics, especially the rise of Sarah Palin. An obscure figure outside of Alaska, Chryson has been a political fixture in the hometown of the Republican vice-presidential nominee for over a decade. During the 1990s, when Chryson directed the AIP, he and another radical right-winger, Steve Stoll, played a quiet but pivotal role in electing Palin as mayor of Wasilla and shaping her political agenda afterward. Both Stoll and Chryson not only contributed to Palin's campaign financially, they played major behind-the-scenes roles in the Palin camp before, during and after her victory.

The MSM is willing to take a William Ayers non-story, and beat it to death, even though Ayers was never accused of bombing anyone personally, and even though the Weather Underground protests against the VietNam war took place when Barack Obama was 8 yrs old. Yet, a group to which her hubby belongs, a group that Palin supports, and the group which started her off political career is deliberately and repeatedly ignored. Amazing. Librul Media, my lower orifice.
PS. Joe Vogler, the founder of the AIP, died in 1993 while trying to buy plastic explosives. He was due to appear before the UN to plead for independence for Alaska later that year. His corpse was ID'd in 1994.

b) Who is William Timmons?
A close friend of Saddam Hussein and campaign adviser for John Bush McCain. William Timmons partnered up with two lobbyists who worked for Saddam Hussein in an effort to ease sanctions against Iraq in the 1990s. He had hoped to garner an oil deal and to market Iraqi oil for huge profits.
So, what's this about Bill Ayers?

c) From the "Be careful what you wish for" files:
Well, in 2004, I expect to be campaigning for the re-election of President George W. Bush, and by 2008, I think I might be ready to go down to the old soldiers home and await the cavalry charge there.

d) President Bush, for the 15th day in a row, has a press conference on the economic woes facing this country.
Pastor Ag notes that this is the longest stretch ever in which Bush has not taken a month off. Pastor Ag also notes that every time he opens his mouth about the economy, the stock market falls.
"The Amurrican people must understand that this carefully structured plan is intended to help you," as Ben Bernanke and TreasSec Paulson continue to throw piles of money aimlessly at Wall Street in the vain hope that something sticks.

E) The Death of the DLC
There are two casualties this political season. The obvious one is the GoPee party, as the odorific effluent dribbling down the leg of the Bush Administration falls ever further in the eyes of the voter. Bush/McCain have caused such dismay and anger, that it is unlikely that the Neocons, the PNACers, or the ultra-conservative branch of the Reich will ever return to power in our lifetime.
McCain's campaign performance only adds to this erosion, as GoPee office holders downwind of the presidential campaign, hold their nose and try not to breathe.
The other casualty is the DLC, the group of conservative, GoPee loving Democratic centrists who felt that big business and privatization was their friend. The DLC was the creation of Bill Clinton and friends. The first nail in the coffin was when the DLC tried to call Barack Obama a proud member during last year's early campaigning. Obama swiftly rejected any connection with them. DLC tried to force Hillary Clinton onto the ticket, and worked hard to get her named as VP. They failed miserably.
Now that the economic principles that have doomed the Neocons, were the same ones supported by the DLC, it is fair to say that the DLC is cooked, and if you stick a fork in its corpse, the fork will slide out easily.
