I hadn't noticed anyone commenting on this. Here's my two cents. I always watch the part after the debate where the wives come on stage for the hug, kiss and wave to the crowd. When I see the Obamas, I see a madly in love, excited, happy couple. They hug and hug again, they whisper back and forth.
With the McCains, I see a forced hug and maybe a quick smooch before McCain shuffles away with Cindy following. I believe after the second debate, McCain wanders away, spots the Obamas hugging, remembers he didn't hug Cindy giving her a quick one before wandering off again (I could be wrong here, I'm working from memory), but I see no warmth between those two at all.
Anyway, my point is, with the Obamas, they appear a happy, well-adjusted married couple. If Obama loses, they'll be disappointed but their lives won't be destroyed and they'll go on to do great things. I shudder to think of the McCain household on the evening of the election after it's called for Obama.
