This raises a question. Is he getting paid to pose as an "Independent" when he really is a Republican?
We know that people in financial straits are easy picking for someone who waves a wad of cash under their nose. Turns out Samuel J. Wurzelbacher is in a financial pickle...
UPDATE: I'm not the only one who found these guys are related
MSNBC has it too
UPDATE 2: Apparently this "plumber" is not licensed or even registered as a contractor in Ohio.
Let's begin with the property report in 2005, Samuel and KI Wurzelbacher bought the property. In August of this year, title was given to him alone. Sounds like... a divorce.
According to other court filings he has a lien against him that he has been fighting for over a year.
So who could reach out to him? Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.
So "Joe the Plumber" is not independent. He is associated with people tied to Keating. He is in financial difficulty. He is now a talking point. And we are supposed to believe this is all coincidental?
I smell a rat
