This is a short entry on Republican Pete Olson of Texas, a strong candidate to unseat Democratic incumbent Nick Lampson in the District 22 race in the House. This is a very competitive race that Lampson won after Tom DeLay resigned his seat a few years back. Lampson was able to beat a poor Republican candidate but Olson is a much stronger candidate, a young veteran who is using his military background to garner a lot of support and finances.

Read the link. It's a very interesting story unearthed by a Daily Kos-like group in Texas on how Olson may have committed voted fraud. Allegedly he voted both in Connecticut and Virginia at the same time.
I'm surprised the Houston Chronicle hasn't picked up this story yet. The District 22 race in Texas is going to be very close. Lampson may win re-election due to riding the coattails of Obama's support. But Olson is well-funded and it's still very much a Republican seat (Fort Bend County - a Houston suburb south of town is extremely conservative) and the district stretches eastward all the way to Beaumont.
