At Whitfield Trucking it has been an astounding 14 yrs on the job. In the time we have had our doors open, we have delivered much for Kentucky, and the nation. Yes, our shining accomplishments include, debt, de-regulation, and poverty for the middle class. Since it pays so well, we keep our tractor-trailer running for partisan hackery.
Ah, but the first thing Whitfield Trucking delivered was debt. By voting with President Bush over 90% of the time, you can see the result Whitfield has delivered much debt to Kentucky and the Nation:
The gross national debt compared to GDP (how rich we are) reached its lowest level since 1931 as Reagan took office. It skyrocketed for 12 years through Bush I. Clinton reversed it at a peak of 67%. Bush II crossed that line on Sept. 22 and hit 69% on Sept 30. That's the highest it's been since 1955 (53 years ago).
Bush did three things to skyrocket the debt from $5.7 trillion to $10 trillion:
- He lowered taxes on the rich (by far the biggest item).
- He invaded Iraq instead of winning in Afghan-Pakistan (another $600 B).
- He loosened controls on Wall Street.

Yes, at Whitfield Trucking we delivered the votes on all three points to allow Bush to run our national debt through the roof.
But better yet, here at Whitfield Trucking, we delivered on banking de-regulation that crashed our economy and cost Americans another $700 billion dollars of, you guessed it, debt!!:
But there was little dissent in 1999, when Sen. Mitch McConnell and the rest of Kentucky's congressional delegation voted to deregulate Wall Street banking and investments. They — and most other members of Congress — brushed aside concerns that deregulation could create massive financial institutions that would be "too big to fail," requiring a government bailout if they started to stagger.
But of course, when the pay is so lucrative for us, who cares if the economy crashes as long as we can drive our rig up and down the road!!:
Among others in the Kentucky delegation who voted for Wall Street deregulation in 1999, and who are still in Congress, Bunning got $2.4 million; Rep. Ed Whitfield, R-Hopkinsville, got $697,116; Rep. Ron Lewis, R-Cecilia, got $551,266; and Rep. Hal Rogers, R-Somerset, got $406,765, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Totals are for donations from 1989 to 2008.

Last but not least, Ed Whitfield has joined the Republican delegation in bringing poverty to Kentucky:
In Kentucky 16.9% of the population lives in poverty, over 684,000 people.
In Kentucky, if poverty were a county its population of 684,000 would exceed every county in the state except Jefferson County, which has just over 700,000 people.

Whitfield Trucking has happily delivered poverty to one in four Kentucky children:
Children: 23% of all children in Kentucky under the age of 18 live in poverty. By one estimate a child is born into poverty in Kentucky every 44 minutes [1]. It has been said that there are no poor children, but children of poor parents. Children don’t get themselves into poverty, and they are powerless to get themselves out. These children may grow up without the opportunity for education, and may not receive proper healthcare and nutrition which leads to the likelihood of them continuing the cycle with their children.

Of course we delivered nothing for our unions, the greatest poverty fighter in this nation:
Voted NO on restricting employer interference in union organizing.
To enable employees to form & join labor organizations, and to provide for mandatory injunctions for unfair labor practices during organizing efforts. Requires investigation that an employer:
discharged or discriminated against an employee to discourage membership in a labor organization;
threatened to discharge employees in the exercise of guaranteed collective bargaining rights; and
adds to remedies for such violations: back pay plus liquidated damages; and additional civil penalties.

And we delivered even less for children who desperately need healthcare:
Voted NO on Veto override: Extend SCHIP to cover 6M more kids.
OnTheIssues Explanation: This vote is a veto override of the SCHIP extension (State Children's Health Insurance Program). The bill passed the House 265-142 on 10/25/07, and was vetoed by Pres. Bush on 12/12/07.
CONGRESSIONAL SUMMARY: This Act would enroll all 6 million uninsured children who are eligible, but not enrolled, for coverage under existing programs.

Here at Whitfield Trucking, we hope to keep representing the interests of the rich and powerful over working Americans and children and keep providing debt and deregulation because frankly, IT PAYS MORE!!! Please re-elect Exxon Ed Whitfield to keep our doors open!!
Whatever you do, don't watch our opponents ad that tell the truth about us:
And don't go here to give her the resources she needs to keep us from working against those who have the least, and getting rich off it:
We can't allow them to run this, or the other two ads they have almost completed because the voters of Kentucky's First District may here something we can never deliver, the truth!!!
