It's late and I am willing to take the heat for a short diary. I searched key words and did not find anything about this ad yet.
I am very nostalgic and have warm regards for 60's,70's & 80's sit-coms.
I just found it on
The Huffington Post
Barack Obama has been endosed by Alan Brady, Mr. Castanza, Rhoda Morgenstern, Louis DePalma & Carla!
It warms my heart that Carl Reiner, Jerry Stiller, Valerie Harper, Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman are all Obama supporters.
As well as Gary Marshall:
"I am voting for 'that one,'" says famed actor, director, writer and producer Gary Marshall, referencing the snide remark McCain made of Obama in the second presidential debate.
I can't find the text & I am not a stenographer, but the basic themes are Palin was a bad choice, Bush was funny but we can't afford another joke. The economy & healthcare are not funny. I'm voting for that one (pointing to a picture of Obama).
It will be airing in Florida, Ohio & Pennsylvania.
To lengthen this diary ... in other election news ...
I voted early today in Illinois so that I can be over in St. Louis on election for GOTV. It took me about 15 minutes to get through the line which is by far the longest wait that I've ever had. A pollworker said that over 2,000 people had voted at this location in the 7 days since early voting had started. I was nervous because it was my first time on an electronic voting machine. If I had waited until election day in my precinct it would have been "blacken the circle" optical scanner. The EVM
did have a paper trail. On the side of the screen was a glass window where once voting was complete I could watch my votes being printed on a roll of paper and after viewing I was then able to complete my ballot.
I did overhear someone in line make a joke about ACORN. It really upset me and I wanted to educate that person but I decided to bite my lips. My better judgement told me that this might not be the best location to start a possible confrontation. Instead, I will write a letter to the editor & hope that person reads it.
Update from/tips to JCPOK in the comments for discovering that you can pay to run this commercial.
This is really cool. you can go to the site here and actually place one of these ads in a market you choose during times you choose and they put your name on the ad. I just did it in Pittsburgh and it cost me @$640 to run 12 ads during the 7 p.m. to Midnight time period.
That is really cool. My wife is going to kill me.
