While Dick Cheney was in town fundraising for Blaine Luetkemeyer, Orange to Blue candidate Judy Baker received a very important endorsement in the conservative MO-09 house district! She was endorsed by the VFW who typically endorse more conservative candidates. They endorsed her because of her healthcare expertise and her devotion to Veteran's health care.

Democratic congressional candidate Judy Baker received the backing of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Political Action Committee.
The group confirmed to the Tribune that Baker, a state represenative from Columbia, had received the endorsement after being recommended by the Missouri chapter of the organization. Other candidates who have received the endorsement of the group include U.S. Reps. Ike Skelton, D-Lexington, Roy Blunt, R-Stafford, and Todd Akin, R-Town and Country.
Baker released a veterans health care plan that, among other things, would allow veterans to receive health care benefits at local facilities as opposed to always going to a VA hospital. She mentioned that proposal in a short speech near the Boone County Courthouse yesterday.
It is notable that while Judy Baker was getting the VFW endorsement, her opponent Luetkemeyer was getting the chickenhawk endorsement with a swank Dick Cheney fundraiser for him in Missouri on Monday. Blaine Luetkemeyer has thrown close to a million of his own dollars of self-funding into this race just to keep pace with Baker's fundraising (thank you Orange to Blue for your part!) We need to keep the fundraising pressure on Cheney's man Blainey.
Please donate to Judy Baker and help us win with a great progressive who can appeal across the aisle in this Bush +19 district!!
