In Baltimore, as in other communities with a large Jewish population, we have the Jewish Times. Everyone reports their engagements, births, deaths, & other events. Issues that concern the Jewish community are reported on, and the magazine comes out every Friday. It is a kinda big deal in our community.
I read today's issue, and they endorsed Obama!
I would be interested to know from people in other cities with their own Jewish Times if they had endorsed Obama as well!
Although Maryland is Blue, it is nice endorsement considering I was starting to despair at the number of Jewish people I had to argue with about this election!
UPDATED: Some have requested on line link:
http://www.jewishtimes.com/...
However the editorial endorsement is only available in print edition according to website!
UDATE X 2: Here is the end of the article:
"Sen. Barack Obama is eloquent, thoughtful and bright. He studies, consults and makes intelligent decisions. He is not perfect, but who among us is? Yet he has shown great strengths during this long, grueling campaign. Those lessons will serve him well as our nation's 44th president."
