Although some aren't so lucky, John McCain's brother, Joe, probably won't be arrested, let alone serve any jail time for his recent bogus call to 911 in Philadelphia. Below the fold is the story of, uh, an entitled person abusing the 911 service.
This from the AP dated October 24:
The GOP candidate's brother, who lives in Alexandria, Va., told Washington radio station WTOP he was returning from a campaign event in Philadelphia around 2 a.m. Saturday when he got stuck in traffic at a bridge.
Frustrated, he called 911 to figure out what was going on.
Let's hope no one was having an actual life-threatening emergency in Philly when bro Joe made his entitled phone call.
Joe said he will write a letter of apology and that he will stop any campaign activities. No word from the police whether or not Joe will be arrested or ticketed for his phoning.
Is this another example of Team McCain not knowing about or not caring about the basic rules of living? The traffic jam Joe McCain found himself in is metaphorical, I think, of his brother's presidential campaign: jammed with having voted over 90% of the time with a highly unpopular president; stuck with an unproven, unvetted VP choice; and banging the war drum during an unpopular war, it's no wonder North Dakota is looking better and better for Barack Obama every day. The question is: what the hell is wrong with Nebraska (polls show Obama with just 37% of likely voters)?
