Who'd have thunk it: MI-08 Is a Tossup, and the good news keeps coming for Democratic nominee Bob Alexander....
In recent days, MI-08 Dem nominee Bob Alexander has received major campaign contributions from U.S.Senator Carl Levin, U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow and Congressman John Conyers.
Alexander also has the endorsement and financial support of U.S.
Senator Feingold's Progressive Patriots PAC, and the endorsement of the "Lansing State Journal," one of the District's major newspapers. The polling results and the buzz on the blogs say that Michigan's 8th District is now competitive, and that Bob Alexander is in a toss-up
race with Congressman Mike Rogers.
The 30 second spot produced by Alexander's campaign focuses on opponent Rogers's history of voting in lockstep for the devastating policies of George W. Bush, and promotes Alexander's plans to work for positive change for the residents of the 8th District and all Americans.
Still dramatically underfunded compared to his GOP opponent, Alexander hopes to raise $25,000 in the final week of the campaign to make media buys and capitalize on the campaign's recent successes.
