Last night I showed how we have over $50 million sitting in Dem Senators coffers.  Evan Bayh sitting on over 10 million is very questionable.  If Indiana goes red, I am putting blame on him.

Tonight I am going to shine some light on the House Dems that are sitting on some cash.  While everyone here is trying to scrape up an extra 5, 10 or 50 bucks to help Darcy or Bob across the finish line, I see millions of dollars being wasted that could be great investments.  This is purely food for thought from opensecrets.org.  Feel free to contact any one of them and ask what they are planning on doing with their boatload of money....Darcy, Bob and others could use the love.

The dates of their reports are usually 10/15

Rep. Steny Hoyer (primary #1 in 2010) 1.2 million
Rep. Jim Clyburn                      1.3 million
Rep. Rahm Emmanuel                    1.4 million
Rep. Chris Van Hollen-MD              2.7 million (senate stash perhaps?)
Rep. Wexler (do you get his emails?)  1.2 million
Rep. Adam Schiff-CA                   1.5 million
Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr.                .7 million
Rep. Barney Frank                      .8 million
Rep. Neil Abercrombie-HI              1.2 million
Rep. Gary Ackerman-NY                 1.2 million
Rep. Allen Boyd-FL                    1.3 million
Rep. Jerry Costello-IL                2.1 million
Rep. Lloyd Doggett-TX                 2.5 million
Rep. Jay Inslee-WA                    1.0 million
Rep. Steve Israel-NY                  1.2 million
Rep. Marcy Kaptur-OH                   .9 million
Rep. Nita Lowey-NY                     .9 million
Rep. Stephen Lynch-MA                 1.2 million
Rep. Ed Markey-MA                     2.7 million
Rep. Jim Oberstar-MN                   .9 million
Rep. Frank Pallone-NJ                 3.3 million
Rep. Bill Pascrell-NJ                 1.2 million
Rep. Ed Pastor-AZ                     1.4 million
Rep. Donald Payne-NJ                  1.1 million
Rep. Nick Rahall-WV                   1.3 million
Rep. Charles Rangel-NY                1.5 million
Rep. Steve Rothman-NJ                 1.8 million
Rep. Brad Sherman-CA                  1.8 million
Rep. Mike Thompson-CA                 1.2 million
Rep. John Tierney-MA                  1.3 million
Rep. Pete Viscloskey-IN               1.0 million

Total....                            44.8 million
25% would be over 11 million dollars.  That is not even counting the reps that have legitimate challengers.  Think what another 11 million could do.  Instead, some are holding it for moving to the senate or other ambitions.  They ask for 10 or 20 or 50 bucks yet they could drop 100,000 each into the DCCC to help bring a Darcy Burner or a Bob Lord or a Ashwin Madia or a Elwyn Tinklenberg across the finish line.  When one of these people come looking for money from now on.....sorry....have other uses for it.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
