There has been so much of this that....I AM GETTING A HEADACHE....
In response to a diary, I posted this:
Look, Barack is NOT GOING TO LOSE! All you have to do is look at what is going on; huge crowds, long lines of people WAITING TO VOTE, confidence from people you would expect confidence (BARACK ET AL), THAT SEEMS REAL! If you look at the polls today, it looks good; THINGS ARE NOT TIGHTENING. Go look at Open Left. Another thing and I think more revealling is in the Gallup, the undecideds are going up. Interestingly, Obama's numbers are going up and McCain's down; what this means is the undecideds are voters WHO WERE LEANING AND NOW ARE VERY UNDECIDED ABOUT MCCAIN! I think Barack's Wednesday ad is having a huge effect. Also, if you think about it, what sense does it make for McCain to say Iowa is close? IT ISN'T; FOR THAT MATTER, NEITHER IS PENSYLVANNIA! It shows he knows the jig is up and is falling back on false bravado to try and fake us out! This lack of confidence is getting me down. Look where Barack is campaigning this weekend; if he were in trouble, he'd be in other places! So, I know you want to worry. But I am certain I am right. My argument is above. But, GET OUT THIS WEEKEND AND WORK FOR BARACK; DON'T GIVE UP UNTILL THE POLLS ARE CLOSED....THAT IS ALL WE HAVE TO DO
Look at the above and think about it. The majority of info we are getting doesn't support the conclusion that anything is tightening; it is contrary to what we see with our OWN EYES, and KNOW IN OUR OWN HEARTS! I think that we saw a couple of bad days and everyone has been spinning out. I think you can blame some of this to a degree on some of our own. Particularly, Rachel Maddow. She is great and I really admire her and am a big fan. Also, I have no illustion that intellectually I am not her peer at all, nor that I am all that insightful in what I write. But there is one thing I know; pessimism is contagious, and it spreads like a disease. I can't stand her concern trolling anymore. So, I am not watching her between now and Tuesday night, there is no point; I suggest you do the same. I spent 23 years in the service and I can tell you that attitude is everything. The other guy can be smarter than you, bigger than you, and tougher than you. But, attitude overcomes it all; this is based on a lifetime of experience. So, GET OUT THIS WEEKEND AND WORK; DON'T STOP WORKING UNTILL THE POLLS CLOSE, THAT IS ALL WE HAVE TO DO..IT IS THAT SIMPLE.
Just believe, I know it is tough, but just believe. Things just don't change that fast. I mean what does Barack say, "YES WE CAN". I say, "YES WE WILL".
Cheers all!
