Discontent among moms has been brewing for some time now, and this move, if unprecidented, was not a complete surprise.
The question on everyone's minds, of course, is if Obama would take a Reaganesque stance on this strike and fire all the moms. We hope he will take a pro-labor position and support this action.
Moms, unite! Any of you moms (or dads) out there are welcome to use this with your own little bosses...
[Oh, and btw...for a diary entry of mine with a little more meat, please check out my diatribe about the conversation I had with my Republican state representative in PA about the DRE voting machines. I want the word to get out that we're all concerned about voting integrity, even though we have a Democratic gov and sec of state.]

Local Mom's Union 101 Goes on Strike: Demands Better Obedience From Children, Cleaner Habits
by Kate Penname, Mom's Press Writer
YARDLEY (MP)-- Local Moms in the Yardley PA area have been hit hard by recent increases in children's disobedience and slovenly habits. In response to the devastating domestic effects of these trends, local Mom's Union 101 has gone on strike today.
"We have put up with this problem for too long now. It's time for us to stand up and demand fairness from these tyrannous rugrats," explains local mom and union organizer, Kate Penname.
Because of the strike, there has been a moratorium on all sweets, cash rewards (otherwise known as "allowance"), and fun outings. Negotiations between the Mom's Union have not yet begun, but are expected to commence within hours of this press release.
"Our demands are not unreasonable," stated Ms. Penname. "We simply expect that which mothers throughout history have had, that is, the ability to state the rules and have children follow them without our having to yell at them numerous times."
Key points in the negotiations will include observations of bedtimes, dish nights, cleaning up of toys, and slovenly grooming habits.
