Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you all very much.

My friends--
Thanks. Thank you.
Cindy and I can't begin to say how grateful we are to all of you here tonight. And to the literally thousand of you around the country who poured your hearts into this campaign.
About a minute and 15 seconds ago, I called Senator Obama to congrat— no, no.
Now, now.
Please.
Now, now.
No. Please.
Now. Now—will someone – can – security? Thank you.
I congratulated Senators Obama and Biden. I look forward to working with them over the next four years. Our nation faces many challenges at home, and elsewhere. And I know that I speak for all Americans.
I also had a chance to talk with Governor Palin—yes. Give her a hand.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I thanked her for the work she's done in the past two months. Her energy and family have been boundless, and she entered so many hearts.
And to Joe the Plu—that's right. Heheh. Stand up, Joe. Joe? Joe? Okay.
My friends, when we started this campaign, we knew that the road ahead would be long. The battles tough. The foliage dense. And the opportunities for ambush many.
As I think back on the people we met across this country – the young woman in New Hampshire with a husband in Iraq. The small butcher in Toledo struggling to make meat ends. The ... as I look back, my heart is full of pride in my fellow Americans. To speak with you and seek your highest office has been my great honor.
And I promise you tonight that I will never forget you. And I promise you that I'm going to keep working to make this more of a country. And not just for the future, but our children.
My friends, when I was a much younger man, my father had a saying. Win, lose, or draw, it's how you do in the speed round that matters. And that has never been more true.
We love you all. We love this country. And we love each other. And you.
God bless America and you and good night.
