So I am at the Dennis Shulman Campaign party in NJ, hopefully with good news for all three districts here in NJ.
Check out Blue Jersey for more on these, and all NJ races.
Here is link to the NJ results for all races.
These are three races that a republican held but two of them (NJ3 and NJ7) are open seats this time around. Adler in NJ3 and Stender in NJ7 (who barely lost last time around) have had good chances all around, while Dennis Shulman has come on like gangbusters over the last 6 weeks when everyone thought that this was a perennially unwinnable district (a republican has held this seat for around 30 years or so).
Very little to report so far, but what I can say is below:
From "the inside" at the Adler campaign - with 78% of Ocean County reporting, Adler is down by 11-12%. This is running ahead of Lautenberg in the County and the toughest part for his race.
Here in NJ-5, there is nothing yet, but Dennis just walked in to a standing ovation. The Passaic county results show a big lead for Garrett but this is a small part of the district. As Bergen goes, so does the district.
More as it comes......
Update [2008-11-4 22:21:45 by clammyc]:: (NJ-3): With 58% reporting, Adler has cut into Myers' lead, which is now 53% - 47%.
(NJ-5): It doesn't look good for Dennis. With 89% of Bergen reporting and none from Sussex, Garrett is up by 6% in Bergen and by 10% overall. Race called for Garrett. Dennis now giving concession speech - but it is a helluva speech. I am very proud to have been involved with this campaign and a shout out to Dennis and Jeff Hauser for all they did and stood for.
(NJ-7): With 52% in, it is 52-41%, Lance leading.
