Earlier this year, I signed up for e-mails from Human Events, a magazine/website that is somewhat to the right of National Review.
I've gotten material for a few diaries from the Human Events e-mails, and this is another one.
Most of the e-mails deal with what's in the magazine -- bloviating by wingnut luminaries like Pat Buchanan, Ann Coulter, Newt Gingrich, etc., ad nauseam.
Some are solicitations from other wingnut-profiteering outfits, like Patriot Depot, which is selling quite expensive bumper stickers boosting Sarah Palin as the GOP presidential nominee in 2012.
Details of how some wingnuts think Palin is a money-maker, below.
Patriot Depot is selling bumper stickers that declare -- YOU CAN KEEP "THE CHANGE" on the top line, with PALIN 2012 underneath.
For the vast majority who do not follow the nether regions of wingnuttery, this refers to an anti-Obama bumper sticker in the South -- "I'll keep my guns, freedom, and money. You can keep the change."
Obama ran as the candidate of change, and won a landslide victory.
But wingnuts hate any change from the wonderful policies of the Bush/Cheney regime, and, according to the Patriot Depot, Palin is their heroine:
The Liberal Media wants you to think that Sarah Palin held John McCain back. We all know that John McCain's campaign surged ahead because of Sarah. She's a rising star in the GOP and could easily defeat Barrack Obama in 2012.
The Palin Revolution is about to break out and you can be on the cutting edge with this clever new bumper sticker! This 2-PACK includes one for each car, whether it's your gas guzzlin' SUV, pick-up truck, or "hockey mom" minivan!
Patriot Depot is selling two of these bumper stickers for $9.86, an alleged discount from the obviously fictional retail price of $19.95.
Bumper stickers cost less than a dollar, and most campaigns give them away.
Some credulous people in the low-information Bushite remnant will actually believe that Palin is "a rising star in the GOP (who) could easily defeat Barrack Obama in 2012" and "the Palin Revolution is about to break out."
Let's hope that these wingnut profiteers are right, and Palin is the GOP nominee in 2012.
Which will ensure that Obama will be re-elected in an even bigger landslide than this year's.
