I am your swing voter the man who voted for a Democrat for President for the first time in my life after having voted Republican in the past. (I abstained in 2004) Up front I am somewhat leery about writing hear because of what I've heard in the media about this site from newspapers, talk radio, and television. But I have an open mind. From my short time here most people seem really nice and informed and most of what I read here seems mainstream to me.
But I am also married to an African American woman (I'm a white male) and I read some posts here over the weekend that was disgraceful. The scapegoating of blacks over the failure to stop the gay marriage ban was disgusting and attempts to blame Mormons and Catholics as well are equally reprehensible.
Sorry I don't write well but this was upsetting to me because it is personal to me and I'm wondering why this would be tolerated.
We are all equal people it does not matter what our skin color is. Racists have no place in politics and hopefully no place anywhere else.
