As even the casual Daily Kos reader (if there are any) knows, we're not quite done with the 2008 cycle. We've got races heading into runoffs and recounts, and you've no doubt noticed that we've got the ActBlue O2B fundraising thermo-me-thingy back up again. And if you've clicked through -- and you should -- you'll have seen that we're back in the game, raising money for O2B All Stars still fighting it out, like Jim Martin in Georgia, Mark Begich (and Ethan Berkowitz, who's thrown his recount lot in with Begich) in Alaska, Al Franken in Minnesota, and Charlie Brown in CA-04.
New to our list, though, is Mary Jo Kilroy, still battling it out in OH-15.
Mary Jo's got all the positions it takes to make the progressive cut, and with just 149 votes separating her from creepy Republican "window shopper" Steve Stivers, now's the time to step in to see if we can push her over the line.
And I mean, come on, a progressive Dem in OH-15? Versus a career banking lobbyist who voted against regulation of predatory lending in the state Senate, and who also happens to enjoy "window shopping" for high school girls and campaigning in sorority houses? Please!
Kilroy, like Franken, has now got a dedicated recount fund up and running, and needs your help.
So how about it? Having won The Big One, giving one last time might not feel like quite so tight a squeeze. At least, that's what we'd like to tell ourselves.
