Welcome to another edition of The Daily Show/The Colbert Report Repeat Open Thread. Tonight we've got last Thursday's episodes, with Paul Rudd on The Daily Show and Rachel Maddow on The Colbert Report (according to Yahoo TV, at least).
By the way, it's much easier to link to the previous Open Thread for these episodes when both episodes were on the same day.
So what else is new?
I'm thinking about adopting a pootie next year, if and when I get my own apartment. On-campus housing is so expensive now that if I got an apartment for less than $1300 a month, I'd be saving money. The only problem is getting enough money to pay the rent per month instead of in student loans. But I'd be able to get a cat, which I've never had before. I just wouldn't be able to bring it home with me during Christmas breaks (parents' allergies), which might be a problem.
Also, if you're into depressing movies that are really beautiful and thought-provoking, I'd recommend "Synecdoche, New York", directed by Charlie Kaufman ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"). I saw it on Saturday and was thoroughly depressed and impressed. It made me reevaluate some things in my life.
So enjoy tonight's repeats, if you choose to watch them. I won't be. I've got to make plans for my birthday on Sunday.
