Has everyone heard the news? According to Vanity Fair, in a piece titled Thomas Friedman’s World Is Flat Broke, the infamous Friedman might soon be headed to the poor house(Considering his wife was a billionaire and now might not be worth much more than $25 million according to the VW article).
I don't pretend to know how people here feel about Thomas Friedman. Most people know of his famous "Suck. On. This!!" comment. Others rejoiced when he when he received a pie on the face at a speaking engagement. The thing that will strike most people is that his family's downfall(relatively speaking) will be the result of the very things he champions. I wonder if his family will ask for another 6 months in hopes of the economy picking up. It would only be fitting if they told him no. Maybe this experience will make him change his views on things. One can only hope. Maybe he'll realize there is a human cost to what he champions. I won't hold my breath.
