Libertarian activists Angela Keaton, who’s also an At-Large Representative on the Libertarian National Committee, and Michelle Shingal have announced that they are launching the official Keaton/Shingal 2012 campaign while contending for the Libertarian Party’s presidential and vice presidential nominations.  Shingal made the announcement on her website

Shingal claims she is qualified to be Vice-President because she can balance a checkbook and drink like a fish.  Keaton heads the ticket because of her degrees in law and political science.  Their fundraising strategy is to strip for cash and sell fitness products.  According to Shingal,  "After all, you can’t strip on the campaign trail without being svelte... With that plan in place alone, we guarandamntee that we can out raise Barr/Root by at least $100k whilst making ourselves wealthy..."

Given the lackluster performance of the Bob Barr/Wayne Root Libertarian ticket, which generated about as much excitement as a Billy Mays infomercial, I guess these two hot babes have as much chance of winning the Libertarian Party nomination in 2012 as any of the other clowns they may go up against.  If they accomplish nothing else at least they'll help eradicate the image of libertarians as white males with bad haircuts.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
