There has been a large political science oriented analysis of the Obama campaign and victory.

For example, according CBS news its all about a faltering economy and Voter antipathy towards Bush.

The right wing geeks at Politico argued  it was "a victory for his steady, corporate campaign management."

Deeper analysis answers the real questions.  come on and see

The essence is summed up in this quote.

"Gretchen Shelby, president of the Society to Land Obama with a Basset Rescue (SLOBR) [noted] . "And it is true that basset owners’ votes pushed him over the top this year

Seattle examiner(ish)

and after seeing this you will understand and agree

It is difficult to dispute the approach, excitement and pure persuasive ness of Barkley and Buddy.  Yes you must see that.

And it does not stop there. Aother insightful basset explains

Elvis cheered everyone on

Although its behavior shows you that there is one basset in the world that had more in common with the Angry McCain

But the overwhelming support of bassets for Barack cannot be denied

Its only nasty little dogs that hate the president elect

And other breeds have learned that Obama is the one for them

Genivive gets it

Never forget

low rider slow rider easy goin pals

Yes I love my basset

And am happy with that Obama fellow too

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
