Talk about inconsistency, I don't think the Obamas quite get it. Much as I love them, they have chosen a Quaker school, Sidwell Friends, for their daughters. On the other hand, they are choosing an "obliterationist" for their SoS.
Hillary Clinton NEVER renounced her position on the invasion of Iraq. Never.
When asked what she'd do if Israel were attacked by Iran, Hillary said she'd "obliterate" them. She said Obama was more inappropriate for the presidency than was Sen. McCain. She said she had foreign affairs experience, based upon visits with heads of state and their wives. She made statements about assassination attempts as her campaign started to tank.
Here on Kos, Hillary has many friends. If you come out against this choice, Kossacks go on a strange, bizarre and somewhat frightening attack of you, with pictures and vulgar attacks. One wonders why, with the exception of the possibility that they are in some way in favor of a unitary state in Israel, or a militarist running the State Department.
I still haven't heard one meaningful voice of support for Hillary for Secretary of State. I know she is thought to be intelligent. I don't think she's particularly honest, or perhaps you could explain her claim that she entered Bosnia in a hail of gunfire, with her daughter.
I defy the same Kossacks who defend Hillary for SoS to give me one example of an event or act in which Hillary demonstrated her ability to solve international crises or conflicts. I defy kossacks to give me one event or act in which Hillary weighed at least more than one side of a conflict.
I defy the same Kossacks to tell me what Hillary's foreign affairs platform is.
I know she worked hard for health care, but that's a domestic issue.
She has neither the experience nor the temperament to be Secretary of State.
Flame on.
