The District of Columbia Statehood fund is a non-partisan fund established under DC Code § 1-123(g); to support outreach and education about the District of Columbia's lack of voting representation in the United States Congress and limited home rule as a result of the Districts' non-state status.

- Phone Bank from Home for Jim Martin in Georgia.
Georgians will vote in a special US Senate Runoff election on Dec. 3, THIS TUESDAY. Please remind your friends and faility in Georgia to vote! Jim Martin is a strong Democrat who would give Barack a chance to make change on day one. Martins opponent is Republican Saxbe Chambliss who, six years ago ran one of the dirtiest, most dishonorable campaigns in history against hero Sen. Max Cleland. Chambliss once told a group of supporters that homeland security would improve if the sheriff was able to "arrest every Muslim that crosses the state line" and recently told a room full of Republican donors that "the other folks are voting this time." The challenge is steep: many people in Georgia still don't even know there is a runoff.
In order to pull this off, we need the grassroots leaders that have been the backbone of our movement to organize their teams to reach out to voters in Georgia, via phone and by coming for GOTV. We'd also love to have your help for GOTV or as soon as possible.

On Monday, December 8th, Generation Obama invites you to join us for some merriment, networking and a good cause that will further spread hope and change beyond our borders at our "Komputers for Kids" Hope-Giving Holiday Party on Capitol Hill! Programs like the ONE Campaign are important because they help to provide society's basic needs by fighting global poverty and disease, but Obama's unprecedented grassroots supporters can uniquely empower the developing world's nearly two billion under-educated children by giving them their very own computer via the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) Foundation (www.laptop.org). With such learning and communications tools they can grow up to create Movements of their own to change their communities for the better and eliminate war, poverty and disease forever. So, during this very special holiday season, let's do our part to help achieve OLPC Founder Nicholas Negroponte's personal mission: Peace on Earth.
For every $200 we raise we can buy a personal computer for a child who needs access to a more hopeful future. How many lives can we touch? It's up to US. Suggested Donation: $10

The office of the President-elect posted a discussion on Change.gov asking Americans, "What worries you most about the health care system in our country?" We see this as great sign of promise for our campaign that the transition team picked this as the first public discussion on Change.gov. Please join the conversation, and let them know what your organizations priorities are for health care. We would like to see diverse voices joining in the discussion. Here are some points that we would like to add to the comments on the page:
We want to work to pass the Obama plan in 2009.
We need to fix health care to fix the economy.
We need to keep the choice of a public plan so we're not at the mercy of the private insurance industry.
We know that the big insurance and drug companies will try to stop you. We want to fight them with you.
