Despite all the Harry Reid
ju jitsu nonsense and hoopla, here's why Miers must be shown the door:
- Bush v. Gore: We have an "African American" seat on the court, "2 womens' seats" on the court, a "Jewish seat" on the court, but a Bush seat? Affirmative action for 1 family?
- The unresolved status of whether you can indict a sitting president. I was always for this- always. If he's a common criminal, then, dammit, lock him up. Cronyism ensures that a Bush "always has a seat on the court."
So we're going to decide this important constitutional issue with a hand-picked yes-woman for the Bush family?
Kevin Philips in his
book, American Dynasty: Aristocracy, Fortune, and the Politics of Deceit in the House of Bush, basically makes the Bushs out to be the biggest nexus of operators for their own benefit alone than anyone else except possibly for the mafia.
And we're going to have a permanent "Get out of jail free" seat on the nation's highest court for him?
After Bush v. Gore? With Jeb in Florida?
Moreover, we've never resovled whether you can indict a sitting president. We should tip the scales of this constitutional question (I say, as I noted above, lock him up & throw away the key, Republican or Democrat, if he's done the crime) for a Bush?
After what we've been through?
After all this, we cannot let Bush have a crony on the court.
