So, the Senate Thugs are trying to kill Detroit.

Just about what I expected. What is an ongoing surprise is how many Kossacks
side with the Republicans on this. Well, even Liberals can be ... mistaken.

When a problem is TOO big, it can't be summarized in a pithy, online diary.
When the injustice and errors are TOO great, it is virtually impossible to debate them.
Online. In a Diary.  The evidence is too obvious that Detroit is being sacrificed, or slaughtered, and  the MSM is interested in writing the truth. And our Liberal, Progressive generally well informed Kossack Kommunity is caught up in the frenzy, shoving their way to the front of the line, with the Senatorial Thugs, to jeer anybody from Detroit.  The "Yes We Can" stickers still hanging in our Union Halls and Corporate Boardrooms, but the election seems pretty long ago. Well, yeah.

Here is about the shortest response that can be made to the Mob.
Just read it before you stick in your fork.

From today's Detroit Free Press
Tom Walsh, Free Press Columnist

"December 11, 2008

Remember when Detroit 3 came to nation’s rescue, senators?"

When Hurricane Katrina slammed into Louisiana and Alabama on Aug. 29, 2005, the automobile companies of Detroit did not harrumph that the Gulf Coast should have been better prepared.

They didn’t sit back and wait for New Orleans to submit a detailed plan for future repair of the ruptured levees.

.... the three Detroit auto companies gave more than $18 million in cash and vehicles to the Katrina relief effort in the ensuing months. No strings attached.

Take a look. Don't bother to think too long,
you'll either get it or you won't.

We're all good folk up here.
We've bailed the country out a few times,
and we've done our best for you this time.

No hard feelings,
you're busy, and have your own problems.

Just promise that if we go down,
that you'll do something to help the country.
We did, but it just wasn't enough.

Have fun with your deck chairs, they look real good.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
