Updated: Fixed the number of Reps, which my sleep-deprived brain screwed up.
There are 435 seats in the House of Representatives. They will all come up for re-election in 2006. Reclaiming the Senate would be great, but even if we get six of the nine questionable Republican seats there, we'd just be in the same stagnant period we had after the 2000 election without the House to back us up.
The front page looks at occasional House races, but there isn't a concerted effort, from what I've seen, to look at all 435 races.
So, that's what I'm going to do.
Not all at once, because that would be total insanity. But over the months between now and November 2006.
I need to marshall my resources and figure out what I need to look into, but I can hopefully start on this next week, with a look into Northern New England and Rhode Island. (MA and CT have enough reps to get their own report.)
I just figured I'd let people know what I was thinking of doing. Help, as always, is appreciated.
