Is there anymore concrete evidence of Bush's impotency than the fact that Osama Bin Laden is still running around? Here's a man that orchestrated the deaths of 3000 of our brothers and sisters and we have yet to avenge them by capturing or killing him.
I bring this up because of todays comments by
US Ambassador to Afganistan Zalmay Khalilzad who will soon be the ambassador to Iraq.
Bin Laden 'is not in Afghanistan'
Mr Khalilzad was careful to avoid offending Pakistan
The US ambassador to Afghanistan says he does not believe that Osama Bin Laden or Taleban chief Mullah Omar are in the country.
He did not say where the two men are but correspondents say his comments imply that they could be in Pakistan
Pakistan? our ally in the war on terror?
The same Pakistan that we let slide with the AQ Khan debacle, The same pakistan that we recently sold a gaggle of F-16's too, The same Pakistan that has yet to have real elections and is governed indefinitely under a military coup despite a President that portrays himself as the defender of democracy?
Your telling me that the United States President doesn't have the clout to demand OBL's capture by our own ally? The same ally we have bent over backwards and defied our own democratic standards to appease. Well the only conclusion that you can make of this is Bush is impotent. When did the consequences of arresting or Killing OBL become more powerful than the deaths of 3000 Americans or more importantly the direct defiance of an American President?
