Forgive me for this...but I just recently found out what a tool Larry Johnson is. I should have seen the writing on the wall since I've seen him numerous times on FauxNews!
I found this little gem linking back to No Quarter:
Well, they’ve done it again.
Obama bloggers–paid or unpaid–have turned yet another democratic blog, the great MyDD, into an "obamablog", where any statement critical of Obama is met with faux outrage, dismissal, and ridicule. The Obama people have smeared all democrats who do not fall in line with them. HRC supporters have been banned, warned, had their work edited, and "gang-troll rated" into oblivion.
MyDD has gone the way of daily kos.
I read this entery above and I wonder, "Why can't the love MyDD is now showing Obama be from actual folks that live on MyDD like some of us on DailyKos? Is that some sort of a crazy notion? Is it possible that MyDDers are Clinton supporters and not Democrats? I doubt that. I think their support seems real.
(BTW...when was anyone here banned for trolling against Obama?)
Now, as I've stated before my brief experience on MyDD wasn't very pleasant. But I went back a few times after Obama officially got the nomination and it seemed like they were behind the Democratic candidate. Yes, there were some sour grapes. But all in all, they seemed ready to support a Democratic nominee.
Then there's this great piece of work:
There are essentially 5 characteristics of the Obama bloggers’ approach to eliminating HRC supporters, or dialogue about Obama on these sites. I give full credit to LavenderLiberal.com for the analysis, and add a few other things I’ve seen.
Basically it is a style of attack that is intended to eliminate and marginalize. It is not FOR Obama, it is AGAINST Clinton. In this manner, no issue about Obama is ever really discussed, even if it could effect the entire democratic party in November, even if that issue is raised for the purpose of dealing with it before it becomes an issue.
Here they are. Do your comments fit in here anywhere? Alternatively, have you been subject to any of these tactics yourself?
Attack/Gloat mode. "Hillary is evil. Clintonistas are racist, uneducated old, irrelevant, paleofeminists, white-trash republican trolls (see the referenced diary above for spotting these mccain trolls)."
Threat Mode. "If McCain wins, say good bye to roe v wade; say hello to the 100 year war, say goodbye to life on earth as we know it, and its all your fault"! And if Obama loses its because HRC continued her campaign through June 3rd!
Tantrum Mode. "Fine, go ahead and vote McCain, then! We don’t need you anyway! We’ve replaced you with millions of new voters! You were never a real democrat. The party is better off without you!"
Stark reality mode. Among themselves: "Oh shit...maybe we do need the Clintonistas in November!" To HRC supporters: "come on, we’re all democrats, we need to pull together, can’t we just get along?"
Over-confidence Mode. "I’m not worried. HRC supporters will come around and vote Obama in Nov. After all, where else can they go? So let’s keep having fun beating them up!"
IMO, I think many of us are over the whole Clinton thing and are ready to move on. And we have been for a long time. We know the enemy is John McCain and the Republicans.
The Gloat Attack: Complete garbage. Yes, some may have said Hillary was evil but we're over it already. The attack mode is so far off it's comical. Obama supporters have attacked Clinton supporters at times for not seeing or recognizing she had lost. Continuing to fight on when the math was very much against her. That's why Obama supporters "attacked".
The Threat Mode: The Roe v. Wade agrument is real. But that's not the only thing to worry about. The 100 Years in Iraq was exactly what McCain said. It isn't something that the blogs made up. His own words! And if Clinton had fought on to the Convention, it would have very difficult to win the White House. Not to mention the monies that would have been used to fight each other all the way down to the convention.
The Tantrum Mode: I don't think anyone here has advocated voting for McCain no matter the circumstances. For the most part Obama supporters have tried to win over anyone eligible to vote!
The Stark Reality Mode: We are all Democrats and both Candidates message were very similiar. Is the ultimate goal not to ensure a Democrat is sitting in the Oval office come January?
The Over-Confidence Mode: I am optimistic, as are we all with our chances! We are confident that we could win against John McSame, but getting as many HRC Supporters as possible will increase the odds of a Democrat President!
