That is what Iraqi spokesman, Ali al-Dabbagh (yes the same Ali Al-Dabbagh, that Centcom alledgedly quoted on the weekend) said above, when speaking to reporters.
"Holy Switch-a-roo Batman! The Iraqi's still want us out!" Is what Cheney must of tod GW this morning.
This was just broadcast on MSNBC at 10am. I saw Al-Dabbagh, say it with my own ears and eyes. After Obama met with Al-Maliki today, he responded to reporters by saying:
"We want the US troops out by 2010". Not on a timetable not by US election standards. But by our standards".
Now this follows up an earlier MSNBC report, saying that the Iraqi's want us out "in 2010". But Now there saying "by 2010". Wow!
The video is below. This story is going to spread like wild-flower today guys. The Iraqi's say they want us out, repeatedly!
Ya think Obama slipped Al-Maliki a Micky in their meeting?
Update: Now McCain is forced to say (according to MSNBC) "We support the US Troop removal which ignores the facts on the ground". Say What?
Here's the video/money quote.

Here's the AP:
Iraq's government spokesman is hopeful that U.S. combat forces could be out of the country by 2010.
Ali al-Dabbagh made the comments following a meeting in Baghdad on Monday between Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama, who arrived in Iraq earlier in the day.
One of the reasons why the Iraqi's want us out, is because it's not the surge that's keeping the so called peace (though Iraqi' are still dying everyday). It's the agreements that we made, that have kept the peace.
We paid off many of the bandits, we bribed select Gov't officials, we begged Al-Sadr to wait till we leave, and we hired/paid many of the rebels that didn't travel to go to Afghanistan/Pakistan to fight. That's the only reason why their not killing US soldiers, as they did previously.
The reason why Bush/McCain's "Let's leave it to commanders on the ground", doesn't work; is because the Iraqi's are waiting for us to leave.
The Surge was really about a departure/Gov't schedule. We were given a certain time to leave, and the Iraqi's ha to get their government together. How can we constantly say "leave it the commanders on the ground". Don't the Iraqi's know how safe their own country is, and what's an acceptable time/violence level to leave? But of course we don't want to leave.
But if we don't leave soon. More violence will occur to US soldiers, and Iran, will become more of a force (unless we negotiate with them). That's why the Iraqi's want time tables. Because, then they can tell their people "see the American's are leaving". If they can't, there will be more violence.
They want us out, before the shit hits the fan again.
Obviously, this is the opposite logic of the McBush lies, who just wanted to stay in Iraq, and suck out contracts, lives, and control world wide oil $$ by keeping Iraqi production levels low.
Now who's the expert on Foreign Policy, McCain or Obama? It's Obama. He's gotten Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan right. What does Bush and McCain do? They criticize Obama's travels overseas, but adopt his ideas/plans anyway.
