Lest anyone think the Kentucky 6th special election is in the bag, the
latest SUSA poll shows a tightening race (PDF). 2/10. MoE 4.1. (1/27 results).
Chandler (D) 51 (54)
Kerr (R) 44 (45)
Chandler's lead comes from women voters, while men are evenly split. Chandler leads amongst older voterss (over 55), while Kerr leads among young voters (52-40 amongst the 18-34 set!).
And Chandler's biggest advantage? A 61-32 lead among moderates.
Kerr has been running nasty attack ads against Chandler, clearly hoping to drive up his negatives. It seems to be working somewhat, as his numbers dip. But she's not gaining any corresponding support.
In any case, you know what you can do. Either donate to the race, stream into the district to help out, or send positive vibes in the direction of Kentucky. We'll need all of that and more to pull this one off.
