As our tired old world struggles under the weight of so much evil cartoonishness, it is both sad and tragic that the President of the United States, the person on the planet who so many have counted on to be a person of honor and peace, has himself become a cartoon, a laughing stock at best, a terrible joke at worst . . . but clearly and most emphatically, a being who will become completely and forever irrelevant in a world he has knocked off balance.
"We reject violence as a way to express discontent over what is printed in the free press," he said, and called on governments "to stop the violence, to be respectful, to protect property and to protect the lives of innocent diplomats who are serving their countries overseas."
This from a fool who started a catastrophic war of choice, destroying hundreds of thousands of lives and staining forever the reputation of a once proud democracy.
It should be enough to make me cry, but it does not. It fuels my anger beyond relief. And leaves me unstoppably committed to ending his miserable reign.
