Any of you good folks interested in applying real justice upside the head of Bush and Company? Anyone have any pull in Vermont? I've watched Vincent Bugliosi and he is one serious dude when it comes to Prosecuting Bushco for murder. He is the tenacious pit bull prosecutor who convicted Charles Manson, and a huge thorn in the side of anyone he takes a shine to. And George Bush is glowing like lava before Mr. Bugliosi's eyes. He has a case already fleshed out in his new book: prosecution of George W. Bush for murder. Anyhow he has made this his single mission, and after relentlessly making the rounds, he has found someone interested. We should applaud this man until our hands bleed....
I have seen Mr Bugliosi speak at outlets and hearings on the subject on independent media. C-span has had wonderful coverage and so has Amy Goodman on Democracy Now. Here is his own video statement from his own elegantly simple website. Another video of him at a hearing on the limits of Executive power in front of the House Judiciary Commitee.
Below is an excerpt from the interview with Miss Dennett, another patriotic soul...
Published on Friday, September 19, 2008 by The Rutland Herald (Vermont) BURLINGTON - Charlotte Dennett, the Progressive Party candidate for Vermont attorney general, said Thursday that if elected she would prosecute President Bush for murder.
Dennett, an attorney from Cambridge challenging incumbent Democrat William Sorrell, was joined by Vincent Bugliosi, a famed prosecutor who took on Charles Manson in the early 1970s, at a press conference in downtown Burlington....
Bugliosi, a 74-year-old Los Angeles resident and author of the famed "Helter Skelter" book about his prosecution of Manson, called Dennett a "valiant and patriotic woman" willing to put her reputation on the line to bring to justice what he sees as one of the worst criminal acts in recent history.
He told a small crowd gathered in downtown Burlington on Thursday morning that his book clearly lays out evidence showing that Bush and his administration misled the American people and the U.S. Congress into war in 2003.
"George Bush and his people have gotten away with thousands and thousands of murders," Bugliosi said, citing both American and Iraqi deaths in the five-year-old war. "We, the American people, cannot let him get away with this."
Bugliosi said any state attorney general or local district attorney can bring criminal charges against Bush once he leaves office early next year. He said Vermont could take on the soon-to-be ex-president by bringing conspiracy to murder charges against him, using his own public statements during the build-up to the Iraq war as evidence.
This is going on at the same time that veterans for peace activists are staging a protest by displaying a huge "Arrest Bush/Cheney -- "War Criminals!" banner at the entrance of the National Archives and distributing "Citizens Arrest Warrants" to those waiting in line. The anger is ripe, the time is now. DEMAND justice for crimes against humanity!
President Obama's Attorney General is the most important and crucial Cabinet pick....
There will be no future without prosecution of these people. It should be asked if we would be anywhere close to being in this mess if Bushco had been impeached for starting a war based on lies. Impeach the members of the Republican led congress that didnt do it. Impeach Nancy Pelosi for not Impeaching Bushco. Certainly taking it off the table has to be unconstitutional! The rest of the world is also waiting. Trust me my fellow Americans, Prosecution is the single most important step towards restoring the Constitution and trust in our nation. The dollar bill is traded for food on the basis of this very trust. Without trust it is birdcage liner. Send ALL future tyrants a shot across the bow by PROSECUTING these present fucking tyrants. Restore the trust in America by providing deterrence through the vehicle of PROSECUTION.
To paraphrase Paul Newman's lead charactor in "Judge Roy Bean" when an underling quipped "we aut ta just hang him now!" Bean's thoughtful reply was:
"This here's America, and he deserve's a fair trial before we hang him"
