There is not doubt in my mind that, for the first time in my life, I am more talented than the President of the United States in every way.
I am better looking, better read, have a better command of policy, higher morals and ethics, more personal character, am a better public speaker and my ex wife is WAY hotter than Laura Bush. Of course, I lack the billionaire father that greased the skids for me all the way to the White House, thats the biggest difference.
And its sad because Im kind of a goofball. That being said there is still much to learn from the boy king.
What I have learned from "w"
1) Leaders matter
I was always of the opinion that if the people lead the leaders will follow. What the little one demonstrates is that what a movement needs is someone willing to stand on the bow of a ship and command people to go through the ice flow.
Just the fact that there were a lot of people thinking about a new way to the East Indies didn't mean shit without Columbus.
2) Ambition outstrips competance
If you just start doing things, bold things, you can get a lot happening with that energy and people don't even look for results if you keep moving forward.
So just start building a house and worry about the financing later.
3) Eventually you have to actually accomplish something
All the ambition and message management in the world will fall apart if, at the end of the day, you don't make things better. Whether its a business, government or relationship, eventually you have to actually accomplish something or people will start to get pissed off.
And # 3 is the single biggest thing that Democrats need to emphasise if we want to save this country from becoming the newest version of the Austro-Hungarian Emoire.
