Forgive me if this is well-known, but I was looking at the
Daily Kos SiteMeter numbers/stats - today, and I noticed a strange thing:
The "average visitor length" is 2 seconds.
If you look at recent visitors as well, you will see that all visitors have 0 seconds at the site.
I believe this means that - somehow - there are automated machines which are hitting DailyKos, simply for "using" DailyKos for a bounceback on their stats, or to raise advert dollars, is some incomprehensible (at least to me) way.
Any other thoughts?
Update [2005-10-5 1:20:25 by jowc]: - Scionkirk has answered the question. If he is right, then if people only read the front page then leave, then the timer doesn't know, so leaves a zero for time.
Thanks Scionkirk!
