Reading right wing blogs can be trying, so as a public service, I’m scanning some of them and reporting back some of the interesting and valuable things I learned.
Dr. Linda Powelltells us:
"Christians (including Catholics and evangelicals) voted for B. Obama even though he stands for all things that are immoral, God save our souls."
Imagine all of the things that are immoral in the world. That’s a pretty tall order. Once you have all that in mind, you now know what Obama stands for.
Kathy Michael has found the proper analogy for the Rod Blagojevich situation. It is just like Rosemary’s Baby:
"It's been a while since I've given any thought to the movie, "Rosemary's Baby," and it probably would have been a while longer had it not been for Blago's announcement yesterday that he intends to appoint Roland Burris to Barack Obama's Senate seat. The link to the movie? There's a scene in the movie, where Rosemary is raped by the devil, after being drugged by her husband. In the middle of the rape, she briefly comes to and screams, "This is not a dream; this is really happening!" As of yesterday, I'm really identifying with Rosemary. What has been happening to Illinois, lately, courtesy of Rod and his Democratic former friends and antagonists, is a political rape so bizarre and surreal that I'm having difficulty believing that it's real."
So this is what being raped by the devil is like. I've often wondered about that.
John Killiandoes not advocate arson, nor does he lament that arson was not committed. However, during his hymns of praise to Sarah Palin he says:
"Many conservatives lament that Stonewall Jackson did not burn down Washington, DC after the Battle of First Manassas in 1861. Washington, DC is a symbol of corruption and oppression."
