It could happen if two leaders of the multi-million dollar porn industry have their way.
Girls Gone Wild CEO Joe Francis and Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt have become the latest individuals to approach the federal government for a bailout to help bolster their slagging industry.
Girls Gone Wild CEO Joe Francis and "Hustler" magazine publisher Larry Flynt have said they will petition Congress for financial aid along the lines of what the Big Three auto makers are getting.
Francis said that he and Flynt are asking for $5 billion, and that they have sent letters to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, Congress and their local Congressman, Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) with the proposal. Rep. Waxman's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Citing the 22% decrease in DVD rentals and sales resulting from more people turning to internet porn sites such as YouPorn and RedTube, Flynt and Francis say they will use the $5 billion to "invest in building new means of distribution."
"We will use the money wisely, and we will create more jobs," the Hustler magazine publisher told Fox Business.
The irony here is that after federal bailouts of Wall Street and the auto industry, Larry Flynt's request doesn't seem so far fetched.
