The votes from my diary yesterday are in and the first movie we will be watching and discussing will be- To Kill a Mockingbird!
Here is the original trailer, narrated by Gregory Peck himself.
Please do not discuss the movie in this diary.
If you have a netflix account (the cheapest is $4.99), you can watch it online here- http://www.netflix.com/...
And it is probably available at your local library for free!
Again-
Please do not discuss the movie in this diary.
We will all be watching it over the course of the week and discussing it next Saturday.
So, we need something else to talk about. Let's talk about your first movie memory.
My first movie memory is also my first memory. My parents both taught film history at Indiana University and I couldn't have been much more than 2 years old. I still had a pacifier, but I was a little old to have one. My parents had a bunch of graduate students over and they were projecting 2001: A Space Odyssey on the white wall of our living room with a 16mm movie projector!
Maybe the ape evolution through touching the monolith inspired my young mind, because I suddenly thought to myself, "I don't need this anymore" and I took out the pacifier and never used another one.
What is your first movie memory?
