Looking upon the NYT, I gazed upon Kristol's latest work.
NYT Column
Expecting a variety of things, I was hoping for a laugh with his column, but what I wasn't expecting was to agree with him (at least in part).
Kristol basically stated that this was the end of Conservatism. But I think the biggest kicker was this line:
"Today, the dangers are less stark, and the conflicts less hard. Still, there will be trying times during Obama’s presidency, and liberty will need staunch defenders. Can Obama reshape liberalism to be, as it was under F.D.R., a fighting faith, unapologetically patriotic and strong in the defense of liberty? That would be a service to our country."
However, I don't agree with the fact that Liberalism rests on Obama, but I feel that Obama has the greatest chance at shaping it for years to come. I was pleasantly surprised with the column. But I was grateful for the last words:
"This is William Kristol’s last column."
