2-1/2 weeks ago, I was one of the millions of the people who went to Washington to see our president sworn into office. The wonder, the joy and the pride I felt in my country that day -- words will never be able to fully convey.
Now, less than 3 weeks later, and the American dream we all worked so hard for is being trampled and destroyed by the very people who led us to this brink of disaster.
ENOUGH! It's time for our lawmakers to SEE who and what they so eagerly yearn to destroy. It's time for another march on Washington.
follow me over the fold
Here's what I'd like to see:
Unions organizing their members in bus rides to DC
Petitions for people to sign telling Congress we want Obama's plan, not another GOP tax-cut-o-rama that will take us over the cliff into another Depression
Multiple video stops where people can record their own message to Congress, organized by state and/or congressional district (if possible)
If people want to meetup by interest group -- teachers, veterans, etc -- that would be great too
And of course: MEDIA, MEDIA, MEDIA!
I'm here on the west coast and my budget is shot, so I can't go. But I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people in DC, Virginia and Maryland who would LUVVVVV to give Congress a piece of their mind. How's Wednesday at noon for everybody?
