Forget about what is in or not in this bill. This is the blueprint going forward. The House Republicans voted in line with John "tanning bed" Boehner and Eric "cry baby" Cantor. They just got trashed by Susan Collins, Arlen F___in' Specter and Joe "I love John McCain" Lieberman. Mitch McConnel and his ideological corporate ass-clowns just got played too. Forget your "New Deal did not work crap" you're done, and the American people are through with you. AND David Vitter--the eggs slammed into your forehead you apologist for upper-class twits, John McCain--Screw You Too!!
Don't worry about the exact contents of this Bill. If the economy continues to slide, the formula for more is here, and just enough Rs plus Joe Lieberman will provide the necessary majority to keep the ideological wingnuts at bay. After this passes the next time you will see more Rs crossing, in both the House and the Senate. Can you believe Mitch McConnel? The historical evidence shows that you don't know shit from shinola and are merely a corporate TOOL!! The only thing you should be skeptical about is your ability to give the appearance of any credibility whatsoever. You and your Corporate Cronies ARE DONE HERE!!! John McCain--take your "$1.2 Trillion" and shove it up your codger craw. Thank GOD we don't have your dimwitted ass at the helm!! Hey Republicans--what about the $5 Trillion of Bush spending? You pathetic hypocrites!!!
The House Republicans vote was Custer's Last Stand. Next time it will be divide and conquer as we pick off every vulnerable Rep. and Senator. Again here are the Senators to watch and record their votes:
Maine
Olympia Snow--Her next election is in 2012. Even though her re-election is not soon, she represents a blue state and she can probably be counted on for moderation.
Susan Collins--Just re-elected, but the same thing applies here. She can't stray too far from her state which is pretty centrist. WAY TO GO SUSAN--GLAD TO HAVE YOU!!
Up in 2010
Kit Bond (MO)--This Missouri Senator will probably be as reliable a Republican thug as can be. He's not coming back and he's always been reliable for the various criminal Republican elements. A man with nothing to lose can be dangerous.
Richard Burr (NC)--I think this "cat on a hot tin roof" will jump right, but you never know. He may get centrist religion in an effort to keep his seat. NC in trending away from his core ideology-- but he was a House Freshman with the Gingrich onslaught of moral gangrene that overflowed like a sewer in '94. I'm not holding my breath. In any case, take notes and be ready to battle in 2010.
Chuck Grassley(IA)--A principled man similar to Chuck Hegel, and Iowa is bluer than ever. He should be courted and encouraged.
John McCain(AZ)--Hard to predict where he will fall, but I think he will ultimately hang it up in 2010. His recent posturing indicates he will go with the rest of the thugs in his Party, but one can always hope. If he does face a primary challenge he should just retire.
Mel Martinez(FL)--Retiring--similar prognosis to Kit Bond. Not much hope here, but maybe we can pick up this seat in 2010.
Arlen Specter(PA)--I can't believe he's in, but I guess he watched the returns this fall and saw the ground that shifted under his feet. I still want to get him out in 2010.
George Voinovich(OH)--Former Cleveland mayor could continue to be a moderate. If the rumblings are true and he will not be running in 2010--he could be a great ally for the next two years. He's a real moderate on tax policy--not a free-market tool.
Judd Gregg(NH)--On his way to Commerce Sec. There are positives and negatives to that. NH is pretty blue right now, and he might be a great ally too. I think its really important to isolate House Republicans by getting some "R" buy in on the Senate side. We'll see.
Up In 2012
Joe Lieberman(CT)--Time to pay your debt Joe. LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE GOT TO JOE, and HE'S STARTING TO PAY HIS DEBTS. DID YOU HEAR HIM TONIGHT? THANKS JOE. GLAD TO HAVE YOU ON OUR SIDE!!!
John Ensign(NV)--Here's another one to put pressure on. Offer some good deals and see if we can moderate his positions. Nevada was bluer this time around, and I think he can be reasoned with. In the future, there will be some benefit to having a few Rs outside of the South or OK and KS.
Jon Kyl(AZ)--Likely to continue being a first rate tool. Let him go. By 2012 there will be enough new voters in AZ to get rid of him for good. The more partisan he behaves the easier that will be.
Richard Lugar(IN)--Similar to Ensign, we must have some Rs and this guy is better than most. Possibility for moderation on some issues, maybe not economics, but a more rational foreign policy.
This is a big F__in' WIN!!!
UPDATE: DO you hear the endless parade of BS coming from most Rs? Most of them are going the way of John Boehner and Eric Cantor. They are trotting out the same wrong and old tired arguments. They will not get any traction from this. This is a win that we will look back on as a strategic turning point. Look at who is whinning--this tells you its a win.
