Hell, do I feel old. Youngest son is not far behind, since he followed very quickly. Creaking now.
The boys have been doing well (we had three children, all of them male. If I were King Henry VIII, I would be doubly, or triply, pleased. I am just glad that they were, for the most part, fairly healthy.
When a parent has a child to attain 21 years, it is a time to reflect. I will not use names, but Middle Son had a lot against him. He was a facial presentation during vaginal birth. (That means that his neck was pushed back, and instead of being borne crown of the head first, the smallest and easiest way, he way borne neck down, the hardest way including footling breach births).
Mrs. Translator was in labor, and in incredible pain, for many hours. When he was finally delivered, both of them, in different anatomical places, looked like that they both had gone 15 rounds with the ear biter. Both of them healed, and, fortunately, both are well now. He did have some other medical conditions, but likely not related to his medical condition.
In any event, he went to town with a designated driver to experience being legal to watch a concert at a bar, and order a beer. His first driver sort of decided to blow him off, but he had another friend to take up the slack. He is not home just yet, and hope that his very first voyage into legal adulthood works well for him.
Do any readers have children around this age? This is the second for me, and the third will be there in not too long a time. I would like to hear your stories.
UPDATE: This is not an official poll, but you that read might guide me. Should I keep on going with Pique the Geek? If so, what topic should I try to tackle Sunday? With only two commenters, I am not sure that the effort is worth it. Please advise.
Warmest regards,
Doc
