It's Karaoke night, Scaryoke if you really must know. We talk, drink and sing, and all in all have a great time, here at The Great Blue.
Talk is always bout the economy, or lack there of here in our little part of America. And of course Obama.
Talk about a man who polarized the population. Love/Hate, it seems there is almost no one in the middle.
More below
First there is me, Obama supporter, you know the fabric I am drawn from. Liberal, socialized medicine, re-regulation of the basic utilities, etc etc.
Then there is Ron, Staunch Republican. Swears Obama is the anti Christ, spouts his statistics, downward fall of the Market after the Obama speech, lack of immediate relief, destruction of the health care system if we go socialized.
There are only about 15 or so people here, but everyone lines up behind us, as Ron sings his country tunes, and I sing rock and roll.
Ron's next song is God Bless America.
Mine... Kathy, I'm lost, I said, though I knew she was sleeping
Im empty and aching and I dont know why
Counting the cars on the new jersey turnpike
Theyve all gone to look for america
All gone to look for america
All gone to look for america(Simon and Garfunkel)
Long live rock and roll
But honestly, I think we all want the same thing. Prosperity.
Not much has changed we are holding on by a thread, had to borrow the money to pay this month's rent, but Karaoke is at least one bright spot in the week
